Details on merino wool

Merino wool comes from specially bred sheep that live in cold and humid regions (New Zealand, Australia). In this harsh environment, the sheep produce natural fibers that humans cannot produce. These fibers are much finer than conventional wool. Merino wool is silky soft, has a higher insulating capacity and is more breathable.

Garments made from long fibers of very fine merino wool offer the wearer comfort and softness. Each fiber is wavy and elastic, which leads to high durability and a long lifespan of the fabric. Thanks to the elasticity of the fibers, wool clothing does not wrinkle. Wool fibers are very hydrophilic and have a high absorbency. Merino wool offers high protection against UV radiation.
